My view of Miley Cyrus

Today I read an interview of Miley Cyrus. Now, I am in no way judging her; I am simply stating my opinion on some of her answers and statements.
I do feel that I must point out something first: she is 17 and has been living under Hollywood's microscope for five years. I definitely could NOT handle it, but some things she said just didn't sit right with me... (Not to mention the skimpy outfit she wore on the cover! But that's what sharpies are for :-P)

"My faith is very important to me, but I definitely don't define my faith by going to church because it feels like a show with all the cameras," I admit, it would be obnoxious to have cameras in your face. But couldn't she try to ignore the 'show' and go worship and listen to the teachings? Church is church, and her excuse isn't legitimate.

When asked if it's hard to be a christian, "People are always looking for you to do something that is non-christian, but it's like dude, Christians don't live in the dark... If I wear something revealing, suddenly I'm not a christian. Oh yeah, like I'm going to hell for wearing a mini skirt." I feel that she is setting a tarnished example of what christians should do. No, christians do not live in the dark, but that doesn't mean that you need to display your limbs immodestly for the world to see. No, you won't go to hell for wearing a mini skirt, but you won't be honoring the Lord by wearing one.

When asked about the controversies she has had, "I wonder if parents remember how they were when they were a kid! Like, dude, like you were an angel! My parents love me. Sometimes they're like, Miles, we're not thrilled about your decisions, but at least they don't have to worry about where I am at 3 in the morning!" No, no one is perfect but you have young fans that look up to you hugely, why else would you be on their lunch boxes and toothbrushes and clothes? Miley complains that she hates being a 'product', but it shows how much people like her and look up to her. I concur that it would get annoying seeing your face everywhere, however if she is tired of that, the she should take a sabbatical from showbiz to clear her head.

She is a 17 year old superstar (literally) and the pressure seems to be getting to dear ol' Destiny Hope 'Miley' Cyrus. Looks like Miley ain't so smiley anymore... (Gabrielle, that's for you!) I hope that she is happy doing what ever she wants to do. I don't agree with some of the things she does or wears, but I wish her luck in evolving out of Hannah Montana.

Sweet 12 year old Miley Cyrus... just a girl with a dream and a wig. Here is Hannah Montana, aka Miley Cyrus, aka Miley Stewart in season 1A recent snap of Miley. Her makeup is a little dark...Hannah Montana in season 3... I have to point out that #1 I love the dress and #2 it is modestMiley at the 2010 Oscars... they could have added sleeves and a neckline!

What do you think of Miley? Like her, hate her, in between? Comment and let me know!

Today we visited our good friends, the Williams family, and had a good time. Of course I took pictures for my blog readers!

Michaela and I decided to walk around the park (and her house) in scraf turbans. If you've never done this, do it soon. It is a ridiculously impulsively amazingly fun thing to do!

Pi Day!

HAPPY PI DAY!
Haha, I had no idea it was today until one of my friends told me! So, when getting home from galavanting, I decided to try my hand at making a gluten free pie! I thought it would be hard and a mess, but it was fun and easy! Haha, my mom was mad because it worked well for me and not her :-)

Well, enough talk, here is a picture of my lovely pie!

Yummy! Cinnamon, apple, and gluten free goodness! Yummo! I love Pie! (Not Pi ;P)

His-Story

Yesterday, my whole family went to the history center and boy, was it fun! I took the following pictures to share with my blog readers! The inside of a refurbished trolley :) People can go inside and it is so cool!
Anna and her friend, I think she named it Buttermilk Bess :-)

Tallying up the monetary gain from selling her dairy products!

From Kidsburgh, there is a large tunnel from the balcony to the cafe below :)

"But mister, I spent my ticket money on a new Sue Thomas movie poster!"

"Okay, I never requested a mansion, but this is pushing it!"

Me and my humble abode :)

Megs and Anna at an oldfashioned soda counter :)

Meghan right before sliding down the slide, it was hilarious!

Ooh, funny story before I end:
In the Exploration Station, there is a small jungle gym that has a little crawl through tunnel. I had the brilliant idea to climb onto the jungle gym and sit on TOP of the tunnel! The drop was approximately 6 feet, so once I got up, I ALMOST HAD A PANIC ATTACK! Not kidding, I started sweating like crazy and couldn't get down! I asked Meghan to drag over a nearby stool, but she laughed and thought I was faking! So I had to holler for Ronnie to get me something to climb down onto! And with that embarassing story, I shall leave you with this thought:
NEVER CLIMB SOMETHING WITHOUT A SURE WAY OF GETTING BACK DOWN!

Thrifty Finds

Today Mum, Meghan, Anna, & I went out to the thrift store. I always try to look for graphic tees (Like ones with food labels, or humorous sayings) or dresses. But today, I felt like looking for pajamas. Now, I didn't have much money with me, and the pajama sets were all $10 or so... so I found $2 Henley pajama pants with rainbow polka dots and then went to peruse the t-shirt aisles. I found the cutest shirt (which is from Aerie, might I add) that is black and says, "4-Ever Yours" with a sparkly dove :-) I liked that it went with the pants, so I got a new pair of PJ's for $4!!! Hurray for thrifting and saving money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Aerie tee shirt :-) It is sparkly!

Happy Sara, she saved money! :-P

My comfy pajama ensemble!

Okay, I gotta go to bed now, but I hope ya'll will comment on how you like my new clothes and tell about a good thrifting experience!

Sue Thomas FBEYE short story part 5

Sorry, this will be short, but tomorrow, I will redeem myself! I promise!

PART 5:
As the van pulled into the small townhouse driveway, Allie walked out in a lilac hoodie and jeans. "Wes! Judy! Hey guys!" She pulled the small children into a hug. "I can't thank you enough for watching the kids this week. Amanda is at summer camp," Sue said. Allie hugged her and Jack at the same time. "Aw, no problem! I have nothing else to do," Sue laughed. "Hey, if you're not busy this Thursday, you wanna come to dinner?" Sue asked, nudging Jack with her elbow. "Yeah, I invited one of my buddies too." Sue beamed approvingly at him, the plan was working. "Oh, uh, sure! I am free that day," Sue clapped inwardly. Jack checked his watch and reminded Sue of work. "Have fun!" Sue called as the twins turned to wave.

In the bullpen, Bobby sat at his desk. After the policy change, the bullpen was switched around so Jack & Sue could work side by side, as could Tara and Bobby. Bobby stared at Tara, who was fiddling with her computer. He smiled as he remembered the night he proposed. "Hey Tara, you like Mojo Gogo, right?" He quipped, knowing full well her answer. "Yeah! Why?" Tara asked, looking up from her laptop screen. He whipped out two tickets and she squealed. "You got tickets to the concert tonight?" Bobby nodded and Tara clapped. Later that night, he pulled up to her house and honked. Out she came, in a navy sweater and stonewash jeans. Even in her casual attire, she managed to make his jaw drop. She slid in shotgun and slapped her hand up on his chin. "Shall we go?" She asked. He nodded, starting the car while she grinned excitedly. As the concert drew to a close, Tara hummed along to the song the band was playing: 'I-------ve got hampsters in my heart, for yoooou! I-------ve got gerbils on the brain, for you' It was then that she noticed that Bobby wasn't standing next to her laughing at the outrageous lyrics. "Excuse me, I'm gonna stop the song for a bit, I've got a pal who wants to say a few words." Winger, the lead singer, said. Tara was confused as people pushed her to the front. Suddenly, she gaped as Bobby ran onto the stage. "Tara Michelle Williams, I love you. Even if I don't have hampsters in my heart, thank goodness, I'm asking you to be my wife. Whadya save, sheila?" Tara's mouth dropped. She climbed up onto the stage, and answered him with a kiss.

And now, one year almost to the day, Tara told him she was expecting a baby. Bobby smiled at the turn of events. Then he frowned as he remembered Darcy. Her breaking up with him hurt, but he got past that. Until right before she was about to leave when he found out that the reason she broke up with him was because she was dating her editor in L.A. He felt so stupid, but then he decided to move on. That was when he really started to notice Tara. "DARN IT!" Tara exclaimed. Bobby slid his chair over next to her and turned the laptop towards him. "What the..." Bobby's sentence trailed off. Tara's laptop had a blue screen and was flashing random numbers. Finally, it shut down with a plink! and Tara's head dropped on Bobby's shoulder. Bobby jumped up as D strolled into the bullpen. "D, Tara's computer has a virus. I think it may have something to do with Arif Dessa."

PART 6 COMING SOON!

It was short, but it had a flashback, so that makes up for it!

Blog Party!

I found these questions on Lindsay's blog and I wanted to answer them myself :-P

1. What's your favorite time of the day, and why? Night, I am such a night owl!!!

2. If health wasn't an issue, what food could you live off of? Hmmm, hoagies, pizza, or doughnuts! (Haha, to quote my favorite show ever, "Stand back, I could blow at any moment!")

3. If you could have one wish granted (besides wishing for more wishes), what would it be?Definitely meeting Deanne Bray or Yannick Bisson... one or the other, OR BOTH!

4. What's one thing that you get teased about a lot? My obsession with Sue Thomas F.B.Eye!

5. If you could choose one movie, book, or TV show to spend your life in, which would you pick? What type of character would you be? Ooh, SUE THOMAS F.B.EYE! I would be an orphan who comes to live with Sue and Lucy and gets to help Lucy in the bullpen :-)

6. If you could have one talent that you don't already have, what would it be? Flexibility, that sounds weird, but it's true!

7. If money were no object, where would you go on vacation? Washington D.C! I would love to see all the landmarks!

8. If you were an awesome singer, which genre would you sing? Country/Christian!

9. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, what would it be? Hmmm, either Wet Seal (I love those clothes!) or Michaels to buy lots of beads!

10. If you could live in any point in time, when would it be? Hmm, the 50's! Yay!

11. If every outfit in your wardrobe had to be one color, what would it be? Purple, my favorite color since I was like 3!

12. If you were one of the seven dwarves, which one would you be? (Doc, Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Bashful, Happy, or Dopey) Either Sleepy, Sneezy, or Dopey (for all my blond moments)

13. What's the last album you listened to? Ooh, this is embarassing... the Hannah Montana soundtrack! Yikes, that labels me as a nerd, doesn't it?!

14. What's something we'd be surprised to know about you? That my mom said to my older sister, "Meghan, when you turn 16, we can talk about highlights." Then, a few months later, she was highlighting Meghan's hair and I nonchalantly asked, "Mom, can you highlight mine too?" Just to annoy Meghan. To my surpise, she said, "Sure!" Haha, the true example of the phrase, 'IT NEVER HURTS TO ASK!'

I hope ya'll liked this, but if you didn't, comment anyways!

Sue Thomas FBEYE short story part 4

Okay, sorry I didn't post yesterday! It was kinda crazy, but this part will be extra long and extra good! In this part, I will be doing some flashbacks! (Anything in italics will be a flashbackand anything in bold italics will be a thought)Yay!

Part 4:
Sue woke up and smiled at Jack's tousled hair. She tiptoed down the hall to the childrens' rooms and peered in at the sleeping twins. Judy, like jack, slept all over the bed while Wes, like Sue, stayed curled up in one position. As she walked back to her bed room to get dressed, she thought back to how Jack proposed.

Sue walked into the bullpen the day after her "Going Away/Coming Back" party and smiled fondly at the familiar scene. Jack looked up at her, watching her pour her usual cup of hot chocolate in her favorite blue mug. It's now or never, Jack... tell her now! Jack thought. Sue watched him walk out of the bullpen with his characteristic determined stride. He walked into D's new office and sat down. "Jack, what can I help you with?" D said, shuffling papers on his desk. "I need you to use you supervisor powers to appeal a policy." Jack blurted out. D nodded knowingly. "I assume the policy you're referring to is the relationship policy?" Jack nodded and D thoughtfully strummed his fingers on his desk. "I can't do that." Jack sighed and slammed his hand on the wall. "D, I love Sue and either the policy is appealed or I quit," Jack finished. D nodded and turned a grin up to Jack. "I can't do that because I already did it. The paperwork is being finalized." Jack's smile grew wider as he shook D's hand and raced out the door. Jack told Sue and she smiled so big it lightened up the bullpen. After dating for a modest amount of time (3 months, and they were the longest 3 months Jack had ever lived through) Jack took Sue to a deaf poetry reading (Jack's least favorite thing to do, but he knew Sue loved it) Then, to Sue's surprise, he leapt onto the stage during a break in readers and spoke and signed, "Sue, I love you with all my heart. Won't you please marry me?" Sue was flabbergasted and, to the accompanied by the clapping of the poets, she walked up to the stage and accepted.

Sue smiled as she whipped up some scrambled eggs. Judy and Wes came in the kitchen sleepily clutching their matching stuffed kangaroos (a birthday gift from Uncle Bobby and Aunt Tara). "Good morning Mommy! Is breakfast ready?" Judy asked. Wes simply rested his head on Levi's back and promptly fell back asleep. Sue walked over and picked him up again. "Oh no, none of that. Aunt Allie doesn't like when you sleep in because you are hyper!" Sue remembered when Allie came to visit her one day.
Sue looked up from her novel as Levi nudged her and ran to the door. Lucy was at the gym, so Sue rose and answered it. She was shocked to find Allie, Jack's friend, standing at the door. "Hi, is this a bad time?" Allie asked. Sue shook her head and escorted her in. "I'm sorry for just showing up like this, but I think we need to talk." Sue nodded and sat down. " I've known Jack for, gosh, twenty years. So I think I know him very well. After getting to know you, I realize that you two are perfect for eachother and what kind of friend would I be to either of you if I stood in the way of that?" Sue sat up straighter and Allie grinned knowingly. "Don't start with the whole 'we're just friends' bit because I am a hopeless romantic. I have eyes and I see the obvious chemistry between you two!" Allie said, smiling at Sue. Sue reached over and hugged Allie. "You are such a good friend." Sue remarked.

"Honey, have you seen my tie?" Jack asked, rushing into the kitchen. Sue shook her head and kissed his forhead. "Nope, but you might try the closet!" Sue remarked, dashing about to ready the kids. She then stood bolt upright and yelled, "UREKA!" Jack and the kids came running and Jack asked her what was wrong. "I know who we can set Allie up with! Stanley!" Jack's jaw dropped as Sue dashed to the study. Ruffling through some old bills and 302 home reports, she found a piece of paper with a phone number. She quickly dialed and started talking rapidly. "Stanley? Hi, it's Sue Thomas." She waited while his response appeared on the phone. Sue! I remember you all! How are you and Jack? "Good. I was wondering if you would like to have dinner with us. How about thursday? Great! Bye," Sue hung up and turned to look at Jack, who had a raised eyebrow. "What? They're perfect for eachother and they just need a little nudge!" Sue protested, hurrying off to gather coats for the twins. It has got to be a woman thing Jack thought as he coralled the twins out the garage and into the van to go to Aunt Allie's house.

Part 5 coming soon!
Will Allie like Stanley? Will Bobby quit his hosility to Darcy? Will They catch Arif Dessa?
Find out soon!

Sue Thomas FBEYE short story part 3

Okay, here is Part 3! There will be alot of parts, so until the story is done, I probably won't be posting anything else :-)

Part 3:
Sue woke up to see Jack, Bobby, Tara, & Myles looming over her. "Hey slackers, shouldn't you be out chasing terrorists?" Sue joked, sitting up on the couch. She was still in the strange house, but she felt better now that she was no longer reading a death threat. Jack smiled wryly and hugged her. Tara did the same while Myles patted her on the head. "What were you trying to do? Scare us to death- I mean," Myles said, then realizing what he said. With no Lucy to smack him, he signed sorry and Sue waved her hand admissibly. "It's OK. Did you find anything?" She asked, swinging her feet onto the floor and self consciously tucked her hair behind her ears. Tara nodded and held up a blackberry in an evidence bag. "This was found on the nightstand beside his bed. Once I break the password, I should be able to see if there is anything incriminating. I also found a laptop in the library that I will get some data off of," Tara said, excitedly bouncing on the couch. Anything to do with technology got Tara's hyper level to sky high levels. "I also found what I think is the murder weapon in, wait for it, the shower." Bobby said, shaking his head in disbelief. Jack's brow arched and he snorted. "We know that Arif Dessa wouldn't do something that stupid, so what are we thinking, a henchman?" Jack asked. The group all shrugged and went outside to drive home.

Darcy and Sue fluffed pillows to outfit the guest room. "I cannot tell you how grateful I am to stay here." Darcy said, impulsively hugging Sue. "What you went through was scary, and you don't need to be alone." Sue said, tossing a pillow to her for the bed. Judy ran into the room in her tinkerbell PJs and hopped onto the bed. "Judy! You know not to jump onto the bed!" Sue said and signed. Judy looked at her mother impishly and giggled. "Oh, it's alright. That's what beds are for, right Judy?" Darcy said, picking up the flaxen haired girl and tickling her. Sue signed a few words and Darcy shook her head, "I didn't get that," Sue repeated the signs and spoke, "Don't encourage her! You're worse than Jack!" Darcy threw her head back and laughed as Judy nodded her head. "C'mon Judy, time for bed. Daddy will tell you a story!" Sue said, prying Judy away from Darcy and carrying her to the lavender room down the hall. Darcy walked downstairs to the kitchen and saw a pie on the counter with a note: Darcy, this pie is up for grabs! Grab a fork and meet me in the family room. ~Sue~ Darcy grabbed the apple pie and two forks and headed for the living room. As she walked down the dark hallway, she shivered and turned around. Out the window, she caught a glimpse of fabric. She cautiously set the pie and forks down on an end table in the family room and walked towards the door. Opening it, she saw a dark SUV speed off down the street. As her reporter instincts kicked in, she jotted down the license plate number and dashed back into the house to alert Jack and Sue. "SUE! JACK!" Darcy yelled, running up the steps. She ran down the hall where she bumped into Jack. "Jack, someone was watching the house! Here is the license plate number, and he wasn't that Arif Dessa person, he was really short and kinda chubby." Darcy's words poured out of her in a scared rush as she shook. Jack whistled for Levi and he came running. "Stay here," Jack saidm walking into Wes's room where Sue was praying with him. "Honey, Darcy saw someone watching the house," He said, pointing into the hall. Sue nodded and kissed Wes goodnight. Outside in the hall, she guided Darcy downstairs where they sat on the couch and ate pie, watching a cheesy Hallmark chick flick, Elavator Girl, and tried to take their minds off of the terrorists who may be nearer than they think.

PART 4 COMING SOON!

Sue Thomas FBEYE short story part 2

Since I only got one comment, this will probably be my last insert for a bit, if ya'll want me to keep writing, COMMENT!

Part 2:
Ding! The elevator bell rang out as Jack, Sue, and Darcy stepped off into the familiar office. "Ah, prince Jack, oh excuse me, King Jack and his queen arrive with a special visiting duchess. Good morning Miss D'Angelo," Myles quipped. Lucy gave him her signature 'look' and that shut him up. He shrugged and returned to pouring his cup of coffee. "Hello everyone. I think I have something you might be interested in." Darcy announced, smiling albeit shakily. Bobby muttered an incoherent sentence and received a puzzled look from Darcy. "The Jim McQueen case? Why would we want it?" D asked, walking into the bullpen from his supervisor's office. After Garret retired, D stepped in and did such a good job he was offered the job on the spot. He was the one responsible to appealing the bureau policy on relationships so Jack and Sue could get married, and Bobby and Tara followed suit. "Because I have new information on the case. I don't know who the men were, but I was able to take some pictures on my phone. They shot Senator Jim McQueen point blank and then ran." Darcy said, sitting on the edge of Bobby's desk. He looked at her pointedly and cleared his throat. She blushed and slipped down and sat down on a chair Myles offered her. "I admit that it is sad, but how is a murder a F.B.I case?" Myles pointed out. "Because, not only was he a senator, but the men who shot him were Arabic. I don't recognize the others, but one looked familiar. Here it is," Darcy passed her cell phone around and there was a collective gasp. "Who is he?" She asked. Tara offered the answer, "His name is Arif Dessa. Better known as the prince of terror," Sue shook her head and sank onto Jack's desk. "Please tell me I didn't read that right," She said, looking wildly at Jack. He shook his head. "Yup. The prince of terror is loose in our city again. I thought he had the death penalty!" Jack exclaimed, smacking his palm onto his desk. "He got pardoned and got life in prison without possibility of parole. Then the prison break two weeks ago happened." Bobby said vehemently. "How stupid do you have to be to guard a terrorist?" Myles asked. "Unfortunately, I doubt intelligence is on their resumes," Lucy said, straightening papers on Myles's desk. "So Arif Dessa is loose. Now what?" Sue asked. Jack shrugged. I think we should start by visiting Mr. McQueen's house. Who knows, maybe he left a forwarding address." Jack said, grabbing his coat.

When they arrived at the address, they immediately noticed the open door. Jack and Bobby ran ahead, guns drawn. Sue and Tara followed while Myles went around back. The first thing Sue noticed was the stench. Swallowing the bile rising in her throat, she squinted her eyes and stepped over the body. "Jack?" Sue called out, turning the corner. "Sue, c'mere," Tara asked her, pulling her aside. "What's wrong?" Sue said, staring at Tara. Tara pulled a note out of her pocket and handed it to Sue. Sue opened the folded note and read aloud, "You didn't fool me then, you don't fool me now. Now that you two really are married, I can come after you easily. This is a whole new game. Sincerely, Josef." Sue dropped the typed note and fainted dead away. The last thing she heard was Tara yelling for Jack before she saw black.

Part 3 might be coming soon if I get comments!
